During the 1990s, which was when we got the first inkling that the postwar liberal democratic order was going out the way of the Soviets, just more slowly, black metal bands made a name for themselves with an orgy of violence, with a dozen dead and almost a hundred churches burned across Europe.
While those statistics would qualify as an average weekend in a major American city, in relatively homogeneous and orderly Europe this scared people into near-comatose reaction, which was the whole point. Black metal existed to say that equality made bad and good equal, so what was considered good, like equality, had to be considered bad, and what was considered bad must be good, so we might as well all throw in with Satan, Nietzsche, and Darwin because those are the things that equality fears.
After almost thirty years of relative peace, the black metal terror returns yet again with Holden Matthews of Vodka Vultures, who torched three churches in America:
Holden Matthews, 22, admitted to starting the fires to raise his profile as a “black metal” musician, prosecutors said.
He burned three Baptist churches in the Opelousas area over 10 days beginning in late March 2019.
In the 1990s, at least 50 Christian churches in Norway were attacked by arsonists in the name of black metal, a subgenre of heavy metal music. Varg Vikernes was among the most infamous black metal musicians to be convicted of church arson in this period.
Although this was prosecuted as a hate crime, no evidence of racial awareness seems present, although it is odd that all three were African-American churches. Unlike in Europe, no crimes against architecture appear to be present. Rising above other USBM, Matthews managed to burn, not spray paint, churches, and burn three, not a mere one.
Obviously, some kind of editorializing goes here → •. In my view, picking on African-Americans is dumb because they are as much victims of diversity, market socialism, and equality as we are; if you want to do something effective, go full McVeigh, Breivik, and Kaczynski and attack the people profiting from our decline (Leftists).
In addition, it seems to me that Christianity no longer has any relevance here. In the 1980s, the Christians in America were “conservative,” which means classical liberals who like big government so long as it protects industry, but the Christians in Europe were all leaning toward a neo-Soviet outlook.
At this point, we face a real problem because there are no official churches to the cult of equality, but if there were, burning them would be a mitzvah of grand proportions. To continue the ideals of black metal, you have to fight against the unnatural, which is the human belief in equality, a classless society, and socialism.
If some black metallers decided to burn down their local government buildings, welfare offices, civil rights commissions, public schools, and Ikeas, that would go a lot farther for a 2020s-era anti-herd message than torching some Black churches.
In the meantime, no one seems to have heard or possess recordings by the decidedly un-black metal named band Vodka Vultures, which tells future arsonists that they have to record some really great albums first (like Burzum, Emperor, et al.) and then go on a crime spree, so that while they are in jail we have something to listen to.
